P3V4X with 320MB RAM = mp3 not smooth anymore

hi i have the above mobo
i have one 256MB RAM in slot 1, n one 64MB RAM in slot 2,
both are apacer brand. the mp3 i play from my HDD is not smooth as before. this happened since i install the 256 MB RAM, any problem with it ?

how do i solve this problem ?
my mp3s r in D:, bfore this i have 128MB RAM on my pc, and the mp3 plays smoothly

What happens when you take out the 64MB DIMM and leave the 256MB DIMM in?

what speed are the sticks. 133 / 100 / 66?

have not tried taking the 64 out, trying tonight, both are 133,
my cpu is on 100mhz

any other possible solution?

how is the system other than mp3 playback is chappy. If it is solid, then check your speaker connection, you might have a loose connection when you moved the case to replace the ram causing chappy playback.

i've tried all the possible solution but wouldnt run as smooth as bfore
tried exchanging ram slots, removing the 64mb ram, used memturbo, still the same

i m going to get the rams changed today, hopefully the new 1 will be better
