Ok, I've got a 100mhz FSB P3 800.... I'm trying to set my new PC 133 memory to run at PC 133...in my BIOS I have the following memory settings:
3/2
3/4
1/1
Auto

Now 1/1 would mean the RAM runs at PC 100...would auto put it at it's full speed (133mhz)? This is cheap generic brand BTW, so PC 150 is not really an option.

Repeat, my RAM won't do PC 150 stable even though its CAS 2 PC 133... its cheap brand as stated... it won't do PC 150 CAS 3 either.

repeat: set it at 3/2

If you set it at 3/2 on a 100mhz fsb you will have your memory running at 133mhz. :)

/edit

I know it doesn't seem right, but that is what I do on my P3V4X

The silly settings in the BIOS are designed for:

66FSB/100RAM, 133FSB/100RAM, 133FSB/133RAM. Or at least, that is the intent of the available ratios.

3/2 Was done for people to run their 66 bus CPU with memory at 100. The option is really not 3/2 it is plus 33.

Well I'm stumped here...I ran Sandra benches after getting it at 133mhz supposedly and now it gets 200mbps slower than when its at PC 100!! GRR! Here's the numbers:
ALU: 180mbps
FPU: 196mbps

I'll go try CAS 3 and see if that helps! Brb.
