P3V4X & Maxtor 30GB ATA133

Asus P3V4X does recognize the drive but it stops after reading floppy with 3 beeps...........tried all kind of solutions even exchanged the HD but still didn't, I thought it was video, RAM, cable, bios(latest), etc... any ideas? or do I need to buy ATA133 adapter?

Have you flashed it with the latest bios?
I remembered using my 60G ATA133 in my P3V4x w/o any problems, but this board is the later revision with Winbound.
