Hi All

I was having cold boot problems P-III 700
I Flashed with beta 1006.002 from Asus web site
and for 3 days now no more boot problems.
 
I've got an asus cusl2 and it has the same problem!! its not overclocked,is yours at 100mhz or 133?
I am fed up with asus too, they dont answer my emails
 
It don't make a difference. I can tell you this it started when
I removed the cpu and put a new thermal greese on it.
 
If your using Geforce 2, you might consider the "Frogmaster mod" When a geforce2 is installed in a p3v4x the agp slot is not provided enough power. It seems to be a voltage regulation issue on the mobo. I had some cold boot issues with my AIW Radeon after adding a dvd drive. Unplugged my second HDD problems went away. In my case too many devices for a 235 watt supply. Before taking a solder gun to my p3v4x, I'm going to upgrade to a 300 watt supply. Good Luck.
