Im building a new rig:
E400
patriot 2gb 800mhz
1 sata II drive
MSI gt8800 512

so I was thinking of buying an d3sL with an audigy Value or just the d3sR, because now I don´t have much money to spend on this pc.
Im not thinking of OC at the moment, maybe in the future (or just to hit 3.6ghz), and also I will not modify anything from my new pc (example: I will not buy a raid unit, etc).
Also, I love t oplay games with good sound.

thanks!

The DS3R has much better onboard sound from what I've heard. You also get some more USB/SATA ports and onboard RAID.

thanks for the reply, but the aditional usb, sata and raid things I wont use it.
About the sound, the onboard sound is better than audigy card? also, is better the ds3R than a DS3L with audigy?

I use a P35C-DS3R with onboard sound. I was going to put my SoundBlaster SE from my AMD system into the rig but the onboard sound is just as good. I can't tell the difference.

I think if you have an A2ZS or higher don't bother with the onboard sound on any mobo. Despite the improvements with onboad sound the addin cards still use less cpu power and are a bit crisper to say the least.
