Hi.... I know I am asking about outdated stuff... but I just pulled this rig out of the garbage bin....

Stock cooling... 2 case fans....P3 (5.5multiplier) I don't know what stock speed was oc'd to 826 Vcore 1.9

CPU temp 36 c idle
MB temp 27 c idle

or these within the ballpark... does anyone remember???? I haven't had a chance to burn in the rig but I have been using it to surf and some db work for the last 3 days.....
Has been on for 72 hours plus and no crashes or anything.....

Thanks for the help

your cpu temp looks ok for a p3.
only start getting worried if your temps on full load start approaching 60C though the p3 specs quote a higher figure than that!

That seems ok. It also depends on air temp as well. Where I used to live, in winter it was round 17deg C inside and my old P3 733 idled at round 26-32DegC give or take. In summer room temp shot to 30+degC and it idled at round 35 - 40 degC. Under load on a day 47DegC outside, 35DegC inside my system hit 51, that's the highest I've seen a P3.

Thanks for the info guys.... computer still hasn't crashed yet...

Under load for cpu temp shoots to anywhere from 50-58....

I think me best be turning the voltage back down and slowing down a wee bit....
OR

I could leave it and we could place bets to see when it craps out!!!!

Cheers

That seems ok. My Tualatin 1.3Ghz does 51C semi-loaded. That reading should be internal diode reading though. And the case has literally no airflow {g}
