P3 SLOT 1 Back Removal & Mounting

I have a P3 650E slot 1 with an ALPH P3125 attached to it. I removed the back and fabricated a mount for the screws to hold the heatsink on. I have an ASUS P3V4X motherboard. How do you get the retention thingy to really hold the CPU in? the little hook things that came with the ALPHA seem to no help much. Any one been able to come up with a good CPU mounting method for a P3 and ALPHA with the back off the P3?

i swiped this off of Moto over at the TheTechZone. I took the back off, cut up a BIC ball point pen into 1 cm pieces and used 4 to hold the bracket down onto the back of the cpu. Works great.

Yes we fabricated a way to hold the heatsink on, but ........what is a good way to get the ALHPA and the naked Slot 1 to mount securely in the SLOT 1 MB?

mine is just hanging there, i can't fit the retention piece for my bracket in ther because of the alpha. It hasn't fallen out yet, just don't kick it

That's how mine is doing, just hanging in there. I don't know you would think there would be some way to get the processor in there more securely.
