P3 933mhz+gf4 ti4400... possible on a 250w psu?

This could be a bad analogy... but would you but a $20 tires on your mercedes?? while driving 100+ miles?? well.. yeah. that analogy sucked but... it will work... your comp will run... but with your HD running with your vid card sucking JUICE like a thirsty bear... just get at least 300+ PS.

I'm currently running a P4-2.2ghz/DDR/GF3/DVD/CDRW/2 hd's on a 250w PS, with no problems at all.

It's more about the quality of the PS, not the quantity.

I have to agree with that. I was running an AthlonXP1800+, w/ a GF3, 2cdrom drvs, 1hd all on a 235w. It's only after I started adding fans and oc'ing that I decided to get a more powerful PS.

I'm running a P3 1 gig, 512MB, gf4 440mx, two HD's and two cd's with a 250watt powersupply. I haven't had any problems so far. Powersupplies are so cheap now a days though its probably a good idea to get one anyways.

p3 doesn't suck down that much power, neither does the gf4... you're not running a scsi raid 10 array are you? just like wingz said, theres more to power supply capability than just wattage, although a lot of people think that way.

of course, theres more to performance than sheer GHz *poke poke* 😉😛
