I recently cracked my 500E i was using for a year at 776 so I went to my local comp store and bought a retail 667 with a 133 bus. But the highest I can overclock is 675- 135 x 5 / 33 pci bus. When i put it on the next setting past the 33 pci bus, win2k doesnt load saying that some file on the hd is corrupt. Also when i try to load winme, it says there is something wrong with the registery, it fixes it and then reboots, then does the same thing again. When i bring the pci back down to 33 everything works normally. Would that be corrected if I formatted and reinstalled windows? I can boot the comp at most 750 with windows getting errors during startup. Did sandra and a duron 600 beat this comp in the cpu benchmark, think im gonna get a kt133a and a tbird, scrap intel.

basically your comp is unstable..either your ram cant handle the o'clking o your cpu is getting too hot...plus your cpu is already at 133 FSB it aint gonna go much higher that 140 with out making your PCI cards go crazy...formatting will not help...

You're lucky to post at 667mHz on the 6vba. Double check the AGP and make sure its set to 1/2. The 6vba is a good motherboard for 600mHz and below, but it didn't like >600mHz.
