P180b power cable problem

Hey guys,

This is the first time I've built a computer, and I bought an Antec P180B along with an Enermax Liberty PSU. Now, one of the problems I'm having is that I can't get the 12v cable that plugs in next to the cpu into its slot, since the power supply is on the bottom. I've been trying to look for adapter/extensions, to no avail. I was wondering how I could run the cables behind the motherboard, and whether or not its safe to drill a hole above the motherboard and plug the wires in that way. Any suggestions will help. thanks!

Is it the 8-pin cable you need the extension for?
I had to buy the 4-pin extension one for my P180 also. You can run it behind your motherboard but you'll probably run into the same length problem even then.

edit: yes its the 4 pin. On my enermax liberty, it says "For CPU".

Way too expensive - here are a couple of better deals:
Here's one at SVC - http://www.svc.com/cbl-extend-12v.html they will ship FCM uninsured to save shipping on small orders but you have to agree to assume shipping risks. Didn't have time to find another but I'm fairly sure that www.cyberguys.com also has them for less than $10.

Does your motherboard require the 4-pin or the 8-pin? I think most motherboards will work with just a 4-pin cable plugged into the 8-pin connector though.
