It's practically a wash except for the external finishes. I'd say get the 180B if your wallet is tight. If you've got a deep back pocket and like the way the 182 looks go for it. There is realistically no functional difference between the two.

Whatever colour works for you, because like Derwen said, they are identical in any other way. I prefer the p182 btw, got one myself, but that's a matter of taste.

What kind of PSU are you using w/yours?
I've got an HX520 & was wondering if i'd mount it w/the fan facing down.
I noticed in the pic that there was about 3/4" clearance between the bottom of the psu mounting bracket & the bottom of the case. Would the fan draw in enough air in that space to cool 2 hdd's w/o the use of the bottom chamber fan?

Using a coolermaster 650w extreme series. It's got a 120mm fan, like the 520hx, and I've tried mounting it both facing up and downwards, but as far as I could tell, it didn't make a difference. I do have the bottom chamber fan running though, haven't tried without, but it's on low. You should just try without the bottom fan, and hold a piece of toiletpaper or so near the HD's and see if it gets sucked towards the PSU. To give you an indication, speedfan sais my HD's run at 30c when being used, and are at ambiemt temps when unused/not spinning. MANY people have the p180/p182 and a corsair 520hx and have reported no problems whatsoever, so you should be fine.

30c in use is a good temp!
How many & what kind of hdd's?
What length SATA (assuming they're SATA drives) did you get for them?
Are you using SATA optical drives? If so, what length for them?
Thanks.
BTW, I bit on the 180B for $69AR shipped.

The samsung spinpoint 500gb is a SATA drive, and my primary drive. TBH, i have no idea how long the sata cables are, but they were PLENTY long, it kind of depends on where the sata ports are on your motherboard, but mine were almost in the bottom right corner, very close to the bottom HD's. The other HD is a WD 120gb IDE ( although I ordered a SATA, but they gave me an IDE which I never really noticed ) and I think it runs a little warmer, like 33-35c, but that's it. And no sata optical drives, really hate those IDE cables, but I have to do with them for now. But I wouldn't worry about those cable lenghts coz I've never seen people complain about them.
