Hey guys,

What would you guys say are the differences in terms of thermal and accoustic performance of these 2 cases.... any just any other opinions you have to help me choose which would be the best.

I can't stand how the CM Stacker looks...apart from that, they should perform similarly. It depends on how much space you need. Also, the P180 should be more silent, owing to the layer of dampening material between the sheets of metal.

Good plan. Nothing against the Stacker, but I'm a huge fan of the P180 now.

Yea... I don't have one, but if I built a consumer / gaming machine, I'd be using the P180...
Tas.

i think they are both pretty comparable looks wise. i'm not a big fan of the circle vent hole on the stacker, but if you get the window version its nice.

i guess you have the advantage that the stacker can be made btx if that takes off in a year or two.

Looks are subjective.
I think stacker should be better in terms of thermal because the entire thing has vent holes, and you can install 4 120mm fans + 4 more 80mm fans. It should be quite a bit bigger as well.

They're about the same size, I've seen both at Fry's and the Stacker is maybe a fraction of an inch taller.

The P180 is nice but I hate how it looks. The Stacker is a lot bigger, more customizeable, and looks good. The only downside is that its like 40 pounds empty :disgust:

The P180 is nothing to deal with when you want water-cooling but the stacker is a dream if you want that.
