P180 fan controller

Since my P180 is on the way.... I want a fan controller, price really doesn't matter as long as it's good. 5x120mm fans, Zalman VF700 GPU fan.... recommendations?

Jedi uses the Zalman you PM'd me about and swears by it. I have read good reviews on it. I had the TT Hardcano and it was a very nice controller. It had the auto function which is what I am all about. Only thing is that with the usb connec, 4 temp probes, and all the fan wires routing to the rear of the controller, to me it just wasn't worth the mess (cable management) so I returned it. Made me realize that I just need to stick w/ speedfan and my already onboard sensors and not worry about "front of the case bling."

I know Jedi uses a Zalman... just didn't know what one, and he's not on. So his word better be the right one 😛

Im almost positive its the exact same one you linked me. 😉

The fans are already 3-way switched, how do you use them on a controller? Just set them to max and let the controller undervolt them?

Crak is using diff fans than the stock Antec Tri's. But what you said holds true....you can set the Tri's to Med or High and let the controller do the rest.

1 x Panaflo U1A, 2 x 120mm CM UV Blue, 2 x 120mm CM LED Blue, 1 x 120mm Nexus. The Nexus I might not be using though, not sure. My Zalman VF700 GPU Cooler might be hooked up to it too, don't know yet.... we'll see next week 🙁 DAMN UPS! don't ship on weekends 🙁 just have to wait even longer now....... :|

Yes!! I do use the Zalman ZM MFC1 to controll alot of my fans....8 total fans!!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi...=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=11&Go.y=23

I really like this product besides that it also looks good from the outside!!

Zalman also included a Fanmate 2 module with the 9500 heatsink.

I did not use the fan mate 2 with the heatsink becuase I already had the heatsink hooked to my multi fan speed controller!

But the fanmate 2 works very well also!!

With that said alot of companies make excellent multi fan speed controllers.....
Take your time a pick what wouldworks best for you!!

Very nice!! 🙂

Wait, how many spaces for case fans are in the P180? I thought there was only room for four: one in the psu bay, one in front of the upper drive bays, and the two rears. Are you modding your P180?

To my way of thinking that shouldn`t be an issue......becuase those case fans aren`t regulated as in rpm speed......thus you would still want to get a fan speed controller of some sort!!🙂
