I thought I heard that performers actually paid to perform during the Super Bowl as opposed to being paid. That means he was either willing to pay the most or no one else wanted it.

Don't think it's either but the NFL picks up the sizeable tab of the extras, cast and all set designs etc...

The surprising truth is that halftime performers aren't paid to perform at the Super Bowl. Per league policy, the NFL covers all costs related to the production of the halftime show, but the talent doesn't take home a paycheck (although the NFL foots the bill for their travel expenses). According to a Sports Illustrated report, Usher was paid "$671 for the actual performance last year and about $1,800 for the rehearsals leading up to the Super Bowl."

Lol! ... Do these morons believe impoverished farm working undocumented immigrants are going to be attending the Super Bowl because of this entertainer? Superbowl tickets go for around $5000 per.

He’s had a hard on for the NFL for decades after they wouldn’t let him buy an NFL team…or he couldn’t afford to buy one…
