I heard someone mention that the other day and have to say, I agreed then too. I don't know anything about the witness, but I do know Markwayne is a vetted asshole and it shouldn't surprise anyone to see him be so proud of his inability to behave like an adult (much less a Senator). I think part of it is this guy really is that dense, in addition to insecure. He legitimately seems to believe fighting over face is something that should be allowed in the halls of Congress, that a return of fisticuffs and caning people while they are seated is something we should aspire to. But I also think that was him just preening himself for the corporate and culture war crowd. Ooooo the spotlight - time for the slightly more male version of MTG. Unions have been racking up victories lately; this was his chance to get in that spotlight and showcase his contempt towards organized labor. Hopefully he becomes yet another Trump endorsed loser his next election, what an embarrassment.
The GQP devotes itself to infighting, actually trying to fight, and PR stunts even more feckless and dishonest than they are expensive and wasteful. Tanking an economy while disenfranchising non white, non "christians," those are just beloved hobbies.
And here's the Dems, rolling out solutions, getting things done, asking chucklefucks to stop acting like 12 year olds. They just want repugs to act their age and nationality most times. C'mon 2024.
You know, I have an idea for making Congress work better now...
