They Might Be Giants went political, eh?

They've always been a bit political - maybe in an uncommitted academic way, though?

I really like this song, maybe precisely _because_ it's not entirely clear exactly what it means (is it outright anti-communist, an ironic comment on the way music bypasses the critical part of your brain, or an observation as to historically many intellectual figures picked their sides based on aesthetics rather than reason?). I would rather not know which it is, but I don't know of any other catchy pop song that mentions both Ayn Rand and Engel's "Conditions of the English Working Class".
