More encouraging signs. Trumpists continue to lose support the closer we get to elections. I think the Dems are going to pull it off. They just need two more seats in the Senate and then the filibuster can finally die.

I'm optimistic about the senate chances, although 52 will still be a stretch. However, it may not do much good - I'm still very pessimistic on the chances of the Dems holding on to the House, even with the ongoing & repeated republican attempts to massively fail.

538 does have the odds up to ~24% now that Dems hold the House on their latest forecast, trending up quite a bit from 13% about 6 weeks ago, but very far to go.

We saw a repudiation of the Trumpist agenda in Kentucky so profound it's changed how repugs are running for office coast to coast.

A Democrat just beat Caribou Barbie in the deep red state of Alaska. Repugs are abandoning Trump, who just sounds more and more detached from reality with every passing day. He's clearly guilty of treason as well as obstruction, probably going to get RICO'ed to oblivion, Team Treason will move on and find another conman to follow. Some have already started. I just have a feeling we have more surprises in store.

It's always a good idea not to get your hopes up too much, I agree, but taking heed of noteworthy signs is no vice. Personally the only polls I really care about are the ones that happen in November at a voting station.

Don't blame CTE for stupidity and sexism.

I wouldn't, CTE is more of an enhancement for those things really, not the cause. I blame repugs for wanting CTE in office, for their preference in morons and mental illness that produces elected followers instead of leaders.

We need problem solvers and communicators in charge, not spent jocks with the IQ of sunscreen.
