How did the military operation keep ailing veterans from life-saving healthcare? That sentence needs more commas, I think.

Agreed, but twitter is one of those areas where I tend not to care too much about proper punctuation and grammar. The point being made is still clear enough I think.

In the 90’s CA minimum wage was $3.25, in todays dollars that’s still less than $7. I remember working in a small retail store and got promoted to assistant manager where I made a whopping $4.75, in todays dollars that’s still under $9!

When we first moved to CA in the late 80's, CA unemployment was $160/week. Working construction, that was something I drew occasionally. The UI rep at the state office couldn't understand why I wanted to re-open my interstate claim against Wyoming instead of filing a new CA claim...so I explained that Wyoming was paying me about $325/week...and I didn't want people to know I couldn't add...
