Isn't that just a literal truth? I mean, that _was_ their country in 1776, and they fought for it. As one would expect conservatives to do.

They were even called "Tories", no?

Also, I swear I remember something about that exact point coming up when William F Buckley debated James Baldwin (or maybe it was a shorter interaction between Buckley and Malcom X?). The latter asked the former what side he'd have been on in the American Revolution and Buckley had to admit he'd have sided with the 'legitimate authority'.

Yep, it's that bad, Gresham Oregon is shown in the exact opposite corner of the state than it's actual location near Portland.
