The reason this is funny to me is that it was written in 2014, not long before Donald announced his plan to run for office. And the entire "debate" for him and his party was pretty much just ranting and gibberish.
And they won. Probably because they had millions of fools brainwashed on what appeared to be logic but was in fact, ranting and gibberish.

The irony is Texas politicians voted to take away SALT deduction and incentivized affluent educated California liberals to move to Texas and vote them out of office. Now Texas is turning purple much faster than expected. Ditto for Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina where GOP is now banking on vote suppression and not popular support.
