Edit: Read a quick article, seems like she may have gotten a seat after this tweet (not that I'm implying causality, just timing). Sounds like your "meme" may have jumped the gun.. If true, I'm not sure it would matter to the typically easily triggered lot.

It's just your typical morons in life - proclaiming that things like public transportation are the only ways we can get fight climate change - then when you get a little uncomfortable (as you inevitably will when mass people are no longer driving and taking the mass transit as you proclaim we should) you quickly fold like a house of cards.

And I don't know about German railways, but UK ones are obscenely overcrowded and unreliable, because they are used as cash cows to extract maximum profits for foreign companies (including Deutsche Bahn! Quite ironic that our rail and utilities are mostly state-owned, just by foreign states), while motoring is subsidised.
