it is bullshit.

Germans in the 40's were fascists, both nazis and regular citizens who refused to flat out state they were nazis. The gun control pretty much applied to the same people who ended up in the camps (gays and jews and muslims and anyone who might stand up to fascism), they created jobs by moving millions of people into camps, and also building a ginormous war machine.

Most of these things apply to 21st century American conservatives.
