it's kinda like the reverse 1% economy: instead of money, the 3%ers invest in bullets and weaponry, and I imagine that a significant portion of them aren't all that wealthy. Seems to me that this group of people is largely held in thrall by an organization(s) that survives merely by keeping this small number of people largely uninformed, paranoid, and shitting their pants to the point that they willingly and endlessly spend their income defending themselves from phantom threats and false notions of some intangible concept like "patriotism"

wrong thread, but let's ignore the fact that you are comparing replacing a single GPU to replace another single GPU every couple of years (or months, for the true nutters) vs stockpiling a hoard of murder toys that essentially all do the same thing but with differently satisfying pew pew noises. I've just always been curious about what is the end point for killing capability for those that need hundreds of these things. And yes, I get weird collections and hobbies and all that.
