There's a difference between claiming someone directly opposing direct quotes from Jesus, and lying about direct quotes from Jesus, are actually following the same scripture as those who rightfully say they are following Jesus.

What a wonderful illustration of the fallacy you demonstrated there. If the definition of Christian is following the teachings of Jesus then there are fewer Christians than true Scotsmen.

Not really the thread for this type of discussion but I bet you don't know WHY it works in those countries. Tip. Check into the union/employers' organizations in those countries for starters. There are many factors that simply don't exist in the United States that makes it work in those countries.

I know that. They have other factors that contribute to an effective price floor. But the overall claim that the only thing protecting us from a return to slave labor is the minimum wage is sheer silliness.

They all have negotiated lowest wage for the job via very strong unions and in all cases they are MUCH higher than England's $8.50/hr. The legal power of the unions collective agreements in those nations is so strong because it has been mandated in through law.

That's not to mention their years long parental leave, six weeks of paid vacation and all holidays off, double pay on overtime and 50% extra after 5PM.

Also, Bachman is a racist little cvnt that would gladly use slave labour to polish her toenails, the woman is utter filth.

Just because someone has used the words related to a NTS fallacy (which I grant you, and usually call people of whatever ideology on) does not make the statement false.

If a Russian said "i feel Scottish, and in Scotland we don't eat haggis" and I said "then you're no true Scotsman" you could say "that's a no true Scotsman fallacy, yes, but what the Russian said is also a lie about Scotland."
