She wants the media to respect the president. It starts by the president acting in a manner worthy of respect. If he genuinely apologised for the multitude of hugely offensive things he's said, qualifying many of them with why they were wrong and how he intends to make amends for his disgusting beliefs, without any attempt at downplaying how wrong those beliefs were, I think a lot of peoples' respect for him would go way up (possibly beyond their respect for most politicians) because they would know how much it must hurt an ego as gargantuan as his to admit fault in such major ways.
