Mt Rushmore is also a sacred site for the Sioux, I believe. The monument really is a direct insult on the nation, and was intentionally built to do this. (it's also a pretty terrible monument, imo--don't waste your time if you've never been there but plan to.)
Au contraire, absolutely go see Mount Rushmore. It offers the finest people watching in these United States. Also, there is some pretty nice hiking and cool rocks in the area.

Sacred territory that was to be the Lakota's in perpetuity , which of course was another of the white man's many lies.....

I was shocked by how tiny it is. And also how dirty and...gross the gift shop was (maybe 3 times the size of the monument?). Also, when we were there, the shop was completely staffed by young Russian summer workers. Their conversations to each other, completely in Russian, was nothing but vulgarity (according to the Russian-speaking companion of mine).

Eight THOUSAND TIMES?!??!

He took it twice every day he was in office? SHENS!

Apparently true. From his Wiki bio-

To be at home every day for his young sons,[57] Biden began the practice of commuting every day by Amtrak train for 1½ hours each way from his home in the Wilmington suburbs to Washington, D.C.

1972-2016 is 44 years, 8800 working days at 200 days/ year... Even if he only worked 100 days per year that would be 8800 trips to and fro...
