That part hits me really hard..

I went through 4 male doctors (including the old PCP) with my wife because she had a swollen breast and all those 4 male doctors.. oh it's fine.. just take some ibuprofen.

Then finally a female doctor and she was like.. no this isn't normal for a breast.. I'm sending you a referral to a surgeon right away.

Thankfully she had her surgery last november and is finally healthy!

If anything I hope that doctor makes 4x what the other male doctors make.. she actually was willing to listen to patients.

Have to say I've had similar experiences. Too many doctors seem to suffer from a kind of acquired NPD, and the worst are disproportionately male.
