Life got in the way, of course. Despite the fact that the internet in general has changed for the worse, I foolishly started coming back to forums I had accounts on to see if I could recapture that sense of awe. (I still haven't.)

It's just kinda funny (not haha, just sad) that 6 years later, the memes can just be wholesale recycled like nothing has changed.

We like to say, and this is true, how human achievement and technology proceeds at an exponential rate, or at least a near-exponential curve if you extend back 3, 400 years. it's pretty damn clear.

What we don't like to admit is that the same is true with the rate of mass human stupidity. Today, it seems pretty clear. If we look in a tight window over the last 50 or so years, and pay particular attention to the last 12 with what has happened to the concentration of, and noise coming from, the easily-duped masses of intelligence-fearing, pants-shitting right wing fundamentalist conservatives. It's just mind-boggling how they march so decisively towards dismantling every single fucking achievement that makes humanity great, simply because a handful of billionaires are now reaping the rewards of the last couple decades of convincing these fucking idiots that absolutely great things happening in this world are, in fact, absolutely horrible and that evil "other people" are making everything worse.

But this is a historical cycle of oligarchs capturing the brains of the easily-fooled and perpetually fearful illiterate masses. Eventually, they will revolt and start eating these billionaires alive, but I worry that we are at a point where these oligarchs have become so entrenched within the nations that now depend on them that they have law and military protection that will keep their heads attached and the peasants that they've been stealing from bloodied and below ground.

Fuck around and find out is completely out of play for the party of racists and misogynists because the proof is overwhelming that they will never grasp it's meaning when it comes to convicted Donald Trump, his convicted lackeys and how these crooks and their party's politicians keep scamming and conning them over and over again ad infinitum.

The party faithful fucked around and were told that the finding out part is whatever their propaganda wing of the party says it is. And these gullible dumbed down fools never ever question the bullshit they're being fed because to question the veracity of their propagandists is to be disloyal to Trump. The perfect setup for a looping con job on a bunch of more than willing victims.

What could go wrong? Oh yeah, easy answer: Trump got elected again.
