I would totally ask him about the time he got his nads smashed by a bouncer in Florida...and it happened and I need to go back and find that story to get that location, because it's all available.

and it would throw him the fuck off when it gets tossed to him a session like that.

Whatever the fee to enter a Matt Gaetz pedo rally...I might pay it, just to ask him that. :D

I mean, if he's not prosecuted, it's basically what the zealots want: to be endlessly robbed, and with no justice done against the people that have totally fucking rotted their brains into poverty

I say, let's have it, let SCOTUS rule, and see what this fucking world does to such gullible simple people when their god leaders are given complete immunity.

lol.

Hmm...seems the original linked video (in the quote here) was removed after I posted it, but here's another version/summary of the events that unfolded:

She's filed a lawsuit. I would have too.

lol, this happened a year ago, and now ...it's just being reported.
locally.

wait, I don't get the joke....Loni is correct, pretty much.

basically...you want to get the sun hit for like 10 minutes in your eye holes, just walking outside mind you and not staring at the sun like some orange fucking senile monkey man, to trigger this very real process, and then you should def put those polarized UV blockers on if you plan to be outside all day, or for a few hours.

Or are we supposed to take the idiot responder as actually fucking stupid because they are, and I'm just slow on the uptake. :D

The next "HE GETS US?" ad?

lol, hell no. HAHAHA. That "cool" shit is funded in the $100s of millions by those fuckers that fund Ugandan murder squads. They'll never fucking talk about what their money actually does for Jesus these day.

This needs to be on TV, every day. Because it's true. The people that actually spend money on "Jesus stories" in prime time advertising, are literally murdering Jesus's people all over the planet. This world is fucked by people that claim to be Christians.

Yea, getting those wave lengths into your eyes is how you want to start your day. Doesnt have to be clear sky though. Just get out and get that light in. Bunch of research, google it :)

Well, I can say this much about how the sun affected my eyes. I spent most of my life surfing, swimming, spearfishing, fishing on boats in different ways and generally looking out in the distance for incoming sets of waves and sharks, or bird piles out in the ocean tattle-tailing where the fish are or scoping out the beach bunnies while I'm busy being lazy on the beach. Yet here I am being way over 60 and I still have 20-30 vision even with a mild case of cataract in both eyes. Coincidence? IDK, but my eyes and skin sure did soak up whole lot'a rays to the point where my dermatologist says I am a prime example of a walking talking melanoma time bomb.

Uh, it doesn't need to hit your eye holes, but your skin, which nullifies literally everything she said.

Did you turn into some batshit taint-tanning dumbfuck or something?

No, you have to provide legit sources because Google is full of dumbfucks like that woman posting about sunglasses causing skin cancer.

A lot of the research on a lot of this shit is not at all absolute. Like the blue/orange light and sleep shit which is being disproven with more studies. You're staying awake because you're getting dopamine or other reactions from endlessly scrolling shit on your phone. But by all means, strain the shit out of your eyes more.

Its baffling how much some of this shit gets perpetuated. Like people claiming anti-glare coatings are best (they have always caused me eyestrain due to the little sparkling effect they tend to cause), same with orange light, it immediately gives me a fucking headache and makes shit damn near unreadable. How the fuck arguments about circadian cycles and the like got twisted into this stupid orange light shit is so blatantly obviously stupid I cannot fathom what the fuck people are thinking.

I was wondering about this. Elderly family have macular degeneration, and have become concerned about 'blue light' from LEDs and devices. I have no idea where the truth lies with that.

This, for example, says it's not in fact a problem for macular degeneration, but also seems to contradict what you say above.

Blue light from electronic devices is not going to increase the risk of macular degeneration or harm any other part of the eye. However, the use of these devices may disrupt sleep or disturb other aspects of your health or circadian rhythm. If you are one of the large number of people who fall into this category, talk to your doctor and take steps to limit your use of devices at night, when blue light is most likely to impact your biological clock.

David J. Ramsey, MD, PhD, MPH, is currently the Director of Ophthalmic Research at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a part of Beth Israel Lahey Health. As a specialist in retinal disease, he performs surgery …

Is he a 'legit source' or not?

Personally I constantly struggle with working out what is a 'legit source'. My experience with medical issues is that "Legit sources" constantly contradict each other - so then what?

are you dumb?

yes, you're dumb.

Your eyes are very sensitive to light and will respond to all sorts of wavelengths, setting off all sorts of biochemical reactions. IIRC, the vitamin D trigger is a visual response and not a skin response...in fact it's all visual. Your skin just burns if you don't let the eyes do their work.

what?

I work with animal models on tight day/night cycles, which determine their resting/working/mating phases. You interrupt their dark cycle with even a pinpoint of light sometimes--and this is very true across pretty much all animals and especially insects--it can fuck up their following day somewhat obnoxiously (for our purposes--say we needed them to mate or to collect oocytes or whatever). It's not as long-lasting a phenomenon as some might have said, which might be what you are misreading here about earlier claims, but it it is very much real. And of course, if you aren't producing Vit D like you should be (through your eye holes), repeatedly, that could lead to very real lifetime consequences.

Animals are extremely sensitive to light and most certainly triggers your body to begin its various processes.

I mean, just go back and look at the meme: the dummy that's rebuffing her doesn't do english well, at all. Her post is in the form of a long, ranty, but precise and littered with an excess of actual detail--it's a pile of truth, maybe a bit of hyperbole, sarcastically presented as a loony rant. This isn't a new form...

I always had the impression it was all about sunlight on skin, not the eyes. (Though I also thought the danger with sunglasses is if they block only visible light not UV, thus causing your pupils to dilate and let in excessive amounts of UV.)

The other issue is after a summer spent almost entirely outdoors in the sun, blood tests showed I had almost no vitamin-D, so I'm not convinced any of this works the way they say it does.

did a quick look, because it's a thing I learned in class many years ago...and of course I should keep reminding myself that knowledge is always improving in my world, and it looks like both are required!

basically: sunlight hitting the skin will eventually synthesize 7-dehydrocholesterol
7-dehydrocholesterol is transported to the liver, where it is converted to "usable" D3 by the enzyme 25-hydroxylase, which is produced by epithelial cells in your eyes. So, it's all connected. Like pretty much everything in our body. (I mean, all cells in your body have a capacity for memory--sort of like a fragmented hard drive where some cells that make up your left kidney might be "holding" some of your childhood memories. weird shit)

Simmer down scientist man. :p Me thinks you are barking up the wrong tree. My hot take is it's part of a now rich tradition of scathing Republican Jebus memes.
