A lot of political preferences seems to be how you see yourself amongst the population....

No fudging. Just yes or no even if you aren't sure pick the closest one.

Better how? Financially, morally, socially? All of the above?

Edit: Sorry about that, the poll didn't come up and I didn't see it until after I posted.

I laugh at the arrogance of anyone who answered no to #7 and yes to #8.

Am I smarter than the average P&N... wow, that's pretty hard. There are some serious history/politics buffs here that I am no where close to competing with. Then again, there are some real big diots that may bring the average down. Hmm....

It's true... I claim to be smarter than the politics buffs, but dumber than the idiots ;)

Seeing this an an opportunity to be brutally honest...

Some of the posters in P&N are actually brilliant, and wow me with their insight & grasp of life around them, I am in fact enlightened & educated by their posts.

On the other end of the spectrum I imagine a teenager, who is short, fat, posts anonymously in P&N, revealing little/nothing about themselves, is not well socialized and will spend the remainder of their days as a drag on society & be the person everyone talks about, not to.

I'm somewhere in the middle...

I have documentation that I am smarter than average. However I know there are some smart cookies here at Anandtech, so I think I'm smarter than average, and prolly about average for Anandtech. As for attractiveness, well that's too subjective.

These results are interesting.
Do you think OTHERS are apt to see themselves accurately? (Total Votes: 64)

Yes 14 votes 21.88 (%)
No 50 votes 78.13 (%)

Do you think YOU see yourself accurately? (Total Votes: 64)

Yes 41 votes 64.06 (%)
No 23 votes 35.94 (%)

Why do we distrust others judgement so much? It's interesting to think about since living in a free society/democracy requires trusting your fellow citizens to a certain extent.
It reminds me of the answers often given to these questions:
Who should make important decisions in YOUR life? You or the government?
Who should make important decisions in the lives of OTHERS? Themselves or the government?
