Anyone got any reviews of the two against each other?

Pentium D840 3.2ghz or X2 3800+

I'm getting the D840 for pretty cheap so I'm wondering what is better? I can't find any articles specifically with the two cpus reviewed against each other. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

If their performance is roughly equal, I would go for AMD myself for lower power consumption, better overclockerbility and potentially cheaper + motherboard + DDR Ram

But if the Intel one you can buy it for cheaper (that iss including DDR2 RAM, Motherboard, etc) then sure

it depends really..

if you want to OC it, still have good performance with stock, and save money on the electricity bill go AMD.

if your feeling cold and need something to heat up your room, buy the intel.

ya want a review, go look it up on google. should be enough around.

can always buy the intel, ebay it, then buy a opteron 165 or 170 and still make a few bucks.

Stock by stock, the 840D might be a little slower because it's likely that it would be throttling down its clockspeed with the stock cooling.
