Just found out Ozzfest opens it's tour this year right here at The Meadows Music Theater in Hartford, CT, on July 10, 2004. That'll be a nice way to wrap up my vacation, I'm off the week following the 4th of July.

Playing with Ozzy: Judas Priest; Slayer; Slipknot; Hate Breed(?) and more acts TBA.

I want to know how the hell Ozzy is going to get on stage, the guys one step from death.

And Ozzy probably will be better than ever. Keep in mind, much of the last two years you saw the effects of over prescribed drugs. He is now off a lot of them and doing better, I heard.

Is Halford playing with JP? If not, they won't be worth watching.

yeah but he fell off that snowmobile and practically killed himself. last i heard he was saying he was afraid he'd never go on stage again.

Seriously man, if Ozzy can't perform... I don't gives two sh!ts man. If only Slayer and Priest compensate for his short venue I'd be even more grateful.

The "rock" radio station in NY that announced the show said it was a mediocre show. The jockey "wished" Godsmack, AudioSlave, and some other sissy bands would troll along with Slayer. Dumb rock stations man :|

I'm going to the show when it comes around the NY tri state area. I don't know of any other chance of Slayer and Priest coming around here. 😀

I've been to two Ozzfests but never cared enough to stick around for Ozzy. Stayed for Pantera both times and left.

The side stages are where the real fun is. Better sound, better crowd, and often times bands that put more energy into their music since the crowd is so close.

 
Yeah, I guess it's still not 100% definate that Ozzy is going to be performing, as per the news item on the Stern show this morning.

I've seen them 2 or 3 times myself, as well as Halford's new band a couple of years ago when they opened for Iron Maiden. His voice kicks a$$.

Absolutely nothing! That's one of the reasons I go to Ozzfest, for the chicks. Especially in the dead of Summer, there's more topless chicks at the concert (particularly the lawn area) than at the strip club down the road. 😛 I'd post some pics of last years show, BUT I'd probably be promptly banned.
