Oxygenics Shower Heads

Anyone have one of these Oxygenics Shower Heads, or know anything about them?

EDIT: Oops, I didn't mean for that poll to be there, oh well. 🙂 Oh and I've read they use this type of showerhead in many 5-Star hotels.

At a friend's place in Phoenix I used a shower head similar to that. It wasn't as large as that one, but did the same thing I believe. The water turned into a really forceful mist. I really don't know if I'd want to use it all the time...certainly wasn't what I'm used to.

I have one that looks like these also, except it's not an oxygenics and it is smaller.

Yea, that's what I was thinking.

And *I* was thinking of a dirty interpretation of that question 😀

Seriously though, I'm not a big fan of these things...the whole "needle" action is a little much. Unless I'm thinking of the wrong kind of showerhead...

so basically these are those cheap-ass, pin-prick, painful, can't-get-the-soap-off-because-there's-no-real-water-coming-out pieces of junk that you'll find in every college dorm or gym shower? run away!

No the one my friend has is completely diffused water into a moving mist.

Yeah, that's not what this is. I ordered this one.

I'll report back once I use it. Right now I have one like it, except it doesn't infuse the water with oxygen, and well, it's just not the same.

Really I would pass on those heads. Besides, how much money do you really need to save in the shower anyhow? Are you in there for like what, 5 minutes a day?

Yeah. No sh_t. You can strip the paint off a sidewalk with those things.

The technical term here for the contraption is a 'venturi valve'. Common in the aquarium industry for protein skimmers and other gadgets that require large amounts of infused air. I'd like to know how theirs only injects oxygen, and not the other things in our atmosphere like nitrogen, etc. 😎

I'll buy one if the chick in the add promises to personally demo it.

It can be a bit anoying if you are too close to the shower head, however the mists completely envelope the bathroom and your nostrils (little kids hate it because it choke/drown them).

[add] Where is -- I have one, it's painful & I throw it out! -- option?

Repaired For Truth

I won't disgaree with you there 😉

Did you that just about every bathroom I've ever seen in Europe has a hand-held massage showerhead? Smart people over there.

The poll wasn't supposed to be included. If you have one of these and it's painful, then your probably "sensitive".

Are you sure you're talking about something like this?

I know the painful needle stabbing feel some of you speak of. It could be the combination of your water pressure with the shower head, if you have high water pressure it could mean a needle shower. Course I don't know, just a thought.

Yes, venturi is correct.

I got it today and it is great. If you have high water pressure it would feel like needles stabbing you, but I have very low pressure and this showerhead works great for that.

I'm very happy with it.
