I'd actually be interested to know if your body can use the dissolved oxygen in the water.Originally posted by: Mo0o
I think this oxygen water thing is all bs. Even for athletes its better to drink gatorade than oxygen water.

Oxygyn can promote healing in some sore of chamber - starts with a 'b' - but I don't think the water thing counts. . .

No, he's talking about sterilizing water using ozone instead of chlorine. Yes it is better and it doesn't make the water taste funny.
H2O2 is hydrogen peroxide, not "oxygenated water".Originally posted by: Calin
For the water to be fit for human consumption, a minimal Oxigen content is needed (this might be connected to some kind of toxic substances/bacteria/... that can consume the oxygen in the water.
Oxygenated water (H2O2) can be used to stop blood loss in external hemorrhage (or so my dictionary suggest the spelling) - my mother use it to stop nasal hemorrhage.

Yeah, but drinking water != being under extra pressure in a noisy plastic coffin.Originally posted by: episodic
Hyperbaric Chamber thats the name for it. . . came to me later. . .
Yes, true. Helps many parts of the body heal, also good for people who don't normally get enough oxygen (like those of us with sleep apnea). Negligible effects on pretty healthy folks.Originally posted by: PhasmatisNox
I read some where that putting somebody's body in a pressurized chamber (not nessicarily with added Oxygen) will expedite burn healing, up to 7 times.
Not sure if it's true or not.
Yeah, in a way. Here's a hint: REDRUM. 🙂Originally posted by: pecel
Why EVIAN bottle water sell more expensive than any other water bottle brand such as Dasani or walmart brand?
Do they process the water differently than other brand?

Not universally, but in general, aerobic organisms are beneficial and anaerobic organisms are sickness/disease/etc.
Anaerobic water will usually be pretty stanky.

last time I checked water was made out of Oxygen and Hydrogen.
they just glue 4-10 more oxygen molecules to the hydrogen to make super duper oxygenated water.

This guy I knew ran a trout farm, when he was transporting the trout he'd put them in these big plastic bags and fill the top part with oxygen. The fish could last longer than just using air.
That's the only practical reason for "oxygenated water" that I can think of.
