Oxygen Water

Hi all,

I spend my summer vacation going around South East Asia.
There's a trend here about oxygen water.
They claim that Oxygen water will help cure dissease, of coz with medicine and the Oxygen water.
Is it really true?

Do we really need oxygen water?
They said the best water treatment in the world is in Canada.
2nd is USA.

Do they really put O2/Oxygen on the water? or is it just for marketing purpose?

Thanks.

EDIT:
This is what I found in the label.
"Seven Stage Filtration Purified by Reverse Osmosis + Ozonation + Extra Oxygen"
From the Brand SITO

I didn't know the water treatment was better in Canada... That's funny. We go to Mexico and get sick, the Canadians come here and get sick.

It's not like oxygen being dissolved in water is anything special. How do you think fish breathe?

If you want to oxygenate your own water, all you need is a fishtank air pump. 😛

Given the same temperature, gas solubility increase with pressure.

Cool the water and pressurize with pure O2 and you'll have more oxygenated than average water.

Oxygyn can promote healing in some sore of chamber - starts with a 'b' - but I don't think the water thing counts. . .

you can't absorb oxygen through your digestive system. so whats the point. as usual, theres a sucker born every minute holds true.

Don't fall for marketing bs. Water quality varies by region and depends on the water treatment facility. Your water utility publishes the quality of water for the region it serves. Look it up.

No, he's talking about sterilizing water using ozone instead of chlorine. Yes it is better and it doesn't make the water taste funny.

last time I checked water was made out of Oxygen and Hydrogen.

they just glue 4-10 more oxygen molecules to the hydrogen to make super duper oxygenated water.

"extra oxygen", lol..

Like I said, if you want to oxygenate your water, buy a fishtank air pump. 😛

I'm sure that thoroughly oxygenated water does taste better than stale water, though.

Ozonization is a good way to clean the water, kills anything inside of it. The more oxygenated the water, the better its supposed to be for you, kinda sorta like thew way we have the mixers in fish tanks to create bubbles so there is a better oxygen content in water.

from the very few times i listen to lecture in classes ... deeper colder water bodies are more oxygen rich than water bodies that are shallow and closer to the equator. wish i could remember the actual line. but that's what i learned. what this has to do with drinking Oxygen Water .. no idea.

That's how tap water is cleaned over here. Oxygen in the water doesn't do much of anything though.

You want more oxygen? Breathe deeper.

First, oxygenated water.
Then, oxygenated water vapor: with more oxygen per square inch then the original oxygenated water.

After that I'll just take away the water and sell you oxygen.
