Oxygen thieves at work.

How do you deal with oxygen thieves at work? These are the poeple that come into work late, do nothing until lunch, take a two hour lunch and and finish up talking to their cube mate the rest of the day?

Keep telling myself that their time will come so I don't take it upon myself to purge these morons off the earth and risk getting fired.

I put a gram of antimatter in their car, with a fuse set to release the magnetic containment when they drive off.

There's two guys where I work that are like that. Both have been there for like 2 years or more, are supposed to work from 4am until 1pm, but on any average day one or both of them call in sick. It seems they take turns (they're friends outside of work too), so at least one of them is here to do some work. They clock in, then immediately take a smoke break. In the 3 hours I'm there with them, they take at least 5 breaks, and get zero work done.

Worst part is managers from other departments know that both of them are useless and just wasting payroll, but can't/won't do anything about it because they don't have the authority to. One of them keeps complaining about how he should be promoted or something, and how it's bs that he hasn't been yet.

I thought that's the norm for the US work force. What's the problem? Are you pissed 'cause people who do less work get paid more than you? Cry more noob?

If their job description was to sit on thier a$$e$ and watch internet movies all day, they would be top performers.

We have queue based work and it is very easy to track. The bosses turn a blind eye to it....I need a new job.

They're one level above the whiners who spend all day every day ruining morale doing nothing but complaining about their co-workers.

tbh its your bosses fault for letting them get away with it.

A man will only do enough to not get fired. It sounds like it doesn't take much work at your place not to get fired

And they don't do anything quite stupid enough to get fired and stick around for years. I hate those people, especially since it's the good employees who either get fed up or pushed out of a company.
