Lets start the nominations early. No voting until the year has passed.

What do you guys think about a couple rules this year? First, you can't nominate yourself (call it the Trident rule). Second, a nomination has to be seconded. Hopefully that will keep the list from getting out of control.

Let me know about the ideas, and post some good ones!
 
Best ones are still remembered by end of year. I see no reason to start early. Half the threads here would be nominated, otherwise.

What's the point of everything when I've already calculated the next extinction event is within my life time?
 
We never even had one for 2008. M4H used to do the OOTY threads, but didn't make one for 2007. I did the 2007 one, but the turnout wasn't close to what we had in previous years.
