Owl City and Postal Service. Why?

So I was hanging around youtube, reading all the hate mail from my adoring fans, and I check this one guys profile out. He was telling people how much of a fan of Owl City he was. And as it turns out, there are a lot of people that like this group.

I heard a few of their songs and its not as if we already have enough syrupy, harvey milk-toast bands out there already, but now you have yet another to make you feel like someone stole your bones - Owl City.

Have you flown the coup for Owl City? ()🙂

edit: Having listened to Postal Service I now endorse said music. Owl City is starting to grow on me very slowly. 😉

I've only heard their "Fireflies" song, and while it's ok I really don't think it's anything too special.

that dude is going to be in Kansas City on Jan 21
my eldest kid wants to go see the show
it is $14 or something

there's no way you can argue that "fireflies" isn't a catchy song. i'm not a big fan overall, but his stuff isn't any worse than any of the other pop music out there.

Fireflies was a decent song.. but after listening to the rest of the album, I don't get the hype and appeal.. and have stopped listening to them/him all together.

noty. that song fireflies makes my head hurt.

edit: i acutally had to youtube the song to find out what owl city was...never heard of him before this. honestly.

They were dead wrong. Ben Gibbards lyrics are original and clever. Owl City sucks ass
