One of the advantages of having a brother as a physician: I sliced the top of my right foot with a little shard of glass. Didn't hurt, small cut--but it was certainly deep. I sat around with it most of the day, bleeding the whole time. "Damn," I thought..."better call my brother." I drove to Durham later that night (we were living in NC at the time) and he patched up my foot in his sink with a giant hook. Looked just like an Eagle Claw treble hook for those of you that fish...All local; didn't have to pay a dime on account of my dumbassness. 🙂
