Overweight people problem?

I am sitting in the computer lab working on some homework, and about two chairs from me there is this girl (not very big maybe around 200 lbs) and her breathing is just so hard and intense like she just ran a marathon and then she constantly sounds like she is gasping for air, is this a common occurance in overweight people or might this be something else.

Sorry about the somewhat pointless post but this is just so annoying and there's no other place to sit.

But to answer your question, yes, overweight people are generally out of shape, which results in a poor respiratory system. Having been overweight myself, it's just more difficult to breath when you have pounds of layers of fat surrounding your ribs and stomach. It takes more work for each breath.

While 5'7 200lbs is BIG, it's not HUGE...so I'm guessing it's more than just the weight. She could also be sick...have a cold or something.

Or maybe she has a cold with a plugged nose and a snot-filled throat that she can't swallow and therefore a smaller tube to breathe through. You never know.

As far as I know for males, if you are overweight, you would produce more progesterone and less amounts of testosterone than normal. Granted, each person has, at least, a "slight" amount of both whether male or female. I believe this is true but please correct me if I am wrong. So if you produce the incorrect sex hormone, you start to show physical signs of the opposite sex (research this on your own). Again, I could be wrong.

Loud breathers are easily one of the most annoying things to me.

that's definately something caught in her throat causing her to wheeze and gasp like that. you need to smack her in the back of the head with your keyboard to dislodge it.

I think it is an weight issue. Some heavy set people here seem to have a hrd time breath all the time.
