Overvolting

My Asus P4PE/L seems to have the problem of overvolting my cpu.

I have a P4 2.8GHz @ 3.00GHz @ 1.525V set in bios, however in Asus Probe it reports the VCore @ 1.6V.

Is there any way to fix the problem, or is Asus Probe just incorrect?

Thx, You would think that they would fix that problem.

if you also notice, on most asus boards, the cpu fsb will be overclocked a bit to begin with (usually at most 1mhz)...perhaps asus does that on purpose (the overvolting) to make sure their 1mhz oc is stable lol

It would seem to be a voltage signal strength issue for Asus. While idle, the cpu will overvolt an average of 0.6-0.7V, but it should stabilize under load to whatever you set it to in the BIOS.
