ROFL, apparently our Glorious Leaders think they can just wish away the Constitution. If I really thought any of this might be applied to me, I'd just skip the harrassment and commit blue suicide.

RIGHT TO A SPEEDY AND PUBLIC TRIAL: Government may jail Americans indefinitely without a trial.

RIGHT TO LIBERTY: Americans may be jailed without being charged or being able to confront witnesses against them.

LIBERTY OR DEATH

Do you think Abe Lincoln was a good president? I sure think he was. You were aware that he started these ideas, right? In war time your rights may be suspended for the good of the country. In that time they didn't have to worry about assholes running planes into civilian buildings... changing times require changed measures.

Um, no. "Times change" does not turn a human being into something else. And although desperate times may justify desperate measures, that doesn't apply to the entire war on terrorism, which is going to last as long as the feds want it too.

Uhhh no. If we lose a bit of our liberty everytime some harsh situation faced us, what will we have left after ten harsh situations? After 100? Nothing, that's what. It's a slippery slope that we must not start on.
