Because so many of their wins were by so little.

Exactly. They weren't the better team tonight. I'll admit that. But for the past year they won every game. Not by a whole lot, but they kept putting up a W. There's no way to argue away the fact that they won all those games. You cannot argue that they didn't go undefeated in 2002 and win the national championship.

ZV - I highly doubt anyone is arguing that at all.

phew! I got a lot of friends happy tonight. At least Ohio whooped some ass today, albeit against a crappy team.

How can they be over-rated if they won the championship then? No other team can claim to have gone undefeated in 2002 while facing that calibre of opponants.

OSU is not the team they were last year though.

Actually they lost the national championship game last year. Props for that victory go to the ref who made that stupid PI call.

Btw, I'm an Oregon fan so I didn't care who won. I just recognize horrible officiating when I see it.

Why do you keep asking me that question? I said, IMO, that it is because they won by so few points in so many games.

Sadly, yes. Despite NO starters graduating, OSU is missing one clutch thing that it almost always has... a strong running game. Of course, we did lose a starter due to NCAA violations, but I think Clarett should be beaten like a little red-headed stepchild for being that stupid.

I would agree with you if I didn't have a thing for redheads. ;)

I think that Tressell is taking care of Clarett well. Tressell isn't going to let Clarett play.

Horrible officiating, yes. But before that call, it had been all in favor of Miami. Although, if you actually look at the tape, it was defensive holding... he was more than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage, and Miami's DB was all over him. In the end, at that range, the penalty is virtually identical, so it didnt matter.

Lots of undefeated teams lost today.

Ohio State, FSU, LSU, Nebraska, Arkansas

Time to thin the herd for the National Championship.

you people take the college sports a little too seriously, i was glad they lost because of that a$$hole on OSU who choked the quarterback, that kind of crap should get you suspended for the season.
