Wuffsunie: I've seen a lot of things in my day, but saying Casablanca is overrated is saying "Hey, I only like movies with boomies and boobies."

Casablanca is one of the finest films ever made; there's a reason why it has withstood the test of time.

Movies:
American Beauty
Any Star Wars

TV:
Friends
and here is where I commit rank blasphemy given the views on this board:
The Simpsons

I'd agree. Simpsons hasn't been worth watching in YEARS. Anymore it's just lame and a full-blown yawnfest.

I thought the "Pianist" was overated. Shock and awe movie with a loser hero who spends the whole movie running and hiding.

LOL, not every movie has --or needs to have--a hero. He wasn't a hero at all, merely a *protagonist" 🙂

Star Wars (all of them)

Here, here! The only decent Star Wars movie was Empire Strikes Back. The rest SUCKED ASS. The first one was BORING, the third one was a bunch of f*cking teddy bears with rocks inexplicably killing armored soldiers with laser guns en masse while the *second*, half-built circle warbled menacingly around in space while the rebels blew it up just like they did with teh first one. DUMB. The second trilogy had an interesting political backstory, but the acting and direction were SO bad that they completely ruined the effect.

You're crazy, man. American Beauty was f*cking *genius*. Of course, you'd have had to read Neitzsche to really *get* it.

:Donnie Darko (maybe I missed something)
The Thin Red Line (rated on of the best WW2 movies but I actually fell asleep by how slow it was)
Resovior Dogs (Oooh woopie it was made by Quintin Tarauntino, it has to be good)
Das Boot (Zzzz)
Usual Suspects (like omgosh it suprised me so much at the end, bestest movie evar)

Rome (I liked the first 3 episodes but after that it was just way too slow, and maybe I was used to watching drama filled episodes of Nip/tuck)
