overpostaging is fine...right?

Now the Postal Service knows you put double postage on. Next time they'll want triple, or else they "stamp" your kneecaps with a blunt object of their choice.

It's going on your permanent record and will follow you the rest of your life.

If the violation is severe enough, such as $.74 on something that required less than $.50, the Postage Police will haul his ass off for the Federal crime of Postage Excess.

I wrote on the back of my extension's envelope. It says 'Hooray Tax Day! =)'

I fully expect an audit of the $9,000 i made this year.

Threads like this are so predictable. Can tell before I even click it, 90% of people will attempt clever/funny replies.

Every thread follows the same pattern it seems.

I'm getting old and jaded. 😉

The only problem I see with it is that it fits one of the properties of a suspicious package (leaky/oily substances, addressed to job title instead of name, mispelled common city names, oddly shaped, ticking, too much postage). As long as you steered clear of the others, it should be fine. 😉

it was sending in an MIR. less than 1 oz. hell, not even a security envelope.

in any case, the first reply in the thread answered my question adequately.

the dilemma i was facing was whether or not to continue searching for the forever stamps we have around here somewhere, or just use 2 of the 37c stamps i'd already found. (i'd been searching for 15 minutes.)

somehow, the time spent continuing to search would be worth more than 32 cents to me.

Bingo.
Weird packages with extra postage tend to freak people out.

Of course, if the cocksuckers would just buy back their old stamps every year and let you get the latest ones, OR, if they would stop jacking up postage every year.......

I guess thats too much to hope for.
