Overheating issues

I have an Abit KT7A motherboard and an AMD Thunderbird 1.2 Ghz processor. The Abit motherboard came with a program that monitors stuff like the voltage and temperature so I've been watching that just wondering if my CPU is overheating or something.

It says between 30-50 degrees C for the CPU in non-heavy load times and when I put a load on it (like playing a 3D game or something) it goes up to 50-60. Is this too high? The System Temperature stays around 27-30 in non-heavy load and goes 30-40 in load. Is this ok?

I have a fan and heatsink that came with the processor right on top of the processor and it is installed properly making contact and whatnot. And then I have the fan on my motherboard that came with it. Do I need more?

Also, how accurate are these temeperature reading programs?

Thanks!

on the other hand that temps seem too high to me for a non-oc system. same happened to me till i replace standard hsf for a new taisol 760092 and artic silverII. there's a huge difference, as now i'm running it at 1,42 and heavy load temps never go any further than 54-55, being at 34 or so when idle or using office and that kind of things
