Overheating 3500+?

I've just got my new system up, and it will just reboot out of nowhere after about 15-20mins of hard gaming.. ( HL2 / Far Cry ).. Unlike CS1.6 whereas I can play that without it doing this for hours..

I'm using stock cooling right now, as I need to buy a new backplate for my cpu. CPU temp right now through SpeedFan is 35C ( My case side is open because I'm modding it and my main case right now, so my ambient temp is the room temp ~25C, yeah it's cold in here..) Even the Gigabyte EasyTune5 thing gives me this reading... While I was installing the games, my CPU temp was up around 50C, I was wondering if maybe the temp was off about 10C too low, and that the CPU was actually hitting 60C+

Specs:
3500+ NC -- Stock cooling with AS5.
Gigabyte K8NS Ultra-939
512x2 Corsair XMS PC4000
9800 Pro 128mb
Antec TrueControl 550w

NO OC at all, on anything.

Any help is appreciated..

I've actually had no real problems with running this Motherboard with my Corsair XMS 4000 that I can tell, I fixed my timings and upped the ram voltage to 2.6v instead of the 2.5v that the motherboard had set.

I'm also pretty good with computers, but this is my first time with an A64 setup. I used to run a 2.4C @ 3.2Ghz.. I've tried almost everything, and I think this is the only thing left...

Found out why my memorybandwidth was like that.. I should've known.. Anyways, Up for another problem...............

50C is fine, when you hit 60C then start to scratch your head but as long as it's stable I wouldn't worry. Are you using Cool n Quiet?

Not sure, haven't changed anything in the bios. I crashed in Far Cry last night, and I went into the bios, it read 49C so.. the CPU would have time to cool off.. and I've heard that the cpu readings on this board are really low for what they are..

I'm installing Distributed.net stuff right now and I'm going to see what the load temp is and if that crashes it.

Okay, after 15min of Distributed.net working,

Hitting 54~55C max CPU is at 100% load.. Though the heatsink seems really warm for 55C.. Any other ideas?
