Say you have a task to do, that you don't particularly enjoy or are dreading for some reason. So instead of doing that task, you fvck around in online forums. How do you get past the procrastination? Please offer your tips.

you realize that it's just too late, and you've got less then an hour before the damn deadline.

I sit and do it......I don't worry about quality/quantity and just pound it out. Can't really describe the motivating force behind it...but then again I am the type of person to run to his grave.

You'll have plenty of time to overcome procrastination after you get out of high school. Or college. Or your first job. Or your second job. Or you retire. Or you die.

hmm. Do amphetamines really help with that, or would you just browse AT very intensely? Is "lazy ass bastard" a diagnosis that merits a prescription?

all the tweekers ive seen cant seem to sit still...and they make really weird things out of random crap...then spend 8 hrs perfecting it, or "tweeking on it"

dunno if that would help you get anything done...but i have seen productive tweekers as well...but the unproductive ones seem to outnumber them 20 to 1...

That is basically what a lot of ADD/ADHD medication is, Adderall for instance is amphetamine. Anyhow from watching my brother who is diagnosed with adult onset ADD when he does take his medication he gets stuff done instead of procrastinating and he focuses much better at those tasks.
