My computer has been acting weird. When i try starting it up, from complete shutdown, it like stalls, you can here everything running, and the video card seems to be running at max fan...and nothing happens, nothing will come on the screen. but then if you hit the reset button, the same thing will happen for a brief few seconds and then it will start up fine. windows vista works fine and everything runs smoothly.

Another problem is as well the computer doesn?t overclock anymore. Whenever i try to overclock it even to 2.5 or 2.6 it will reset midway of loading vista. Before my computer worked totally fine...what is exactly happening now..I?m confused..

First issue sounds like the cold boot bug that plagued the 965 boards. Have you updated to the latest BIOS?

For the second part, what are you OC settings?
 
I just updated to the latest BIOS and I am getting the same problem. here are my settings.

CPU clock ratio 9x
cpu frequency 300-9 (2.7)
cpu host clock control enabled
cpu host frequency 300
system memory multiplier 2.0
memory frequency 800 600
normal cpu vcore 1.2375 V

anything else...ram timings are 5 -5-5-15
