Overclocking

I currently have Intel Duo Core E6420 with stock heatsink/fan. I have overclocked it some but never really left it overclocked. Do you think I should or is it even worth doing ? If so what heatsink/fan do you recommend to buy from amazon ? The reason I want to buy it at amazon is because I have a gift certificate from there.

vendetta2 from ocz is very cheap there now... of course u want to oc that chip!!! u ought to be able to get 3ish ghz out of it without much trouble... vendetta2 should keep it nice and cool...

If you have the room in the case, you might look at the NINJA PLUS Revision B Heat sink
and 120mm fan. I use it in my case and it keeps my CPU nice and chilly. And it does not
sound like a jet engine taking off either! Almost noiseless.

Overclocking your Intel Duo Core E6420 is a good way to get more for your money and have some fun doing it too. Go for it.

Scythe Ninja 2 just came out and is 35.99 + shipping at Directron.com. I can't wait till I get mine in Wednesday 😀

I've been swearing by Thermalright coolers lately. I've used the Ultra 120 and the Ultra-120 extreme. The thing I like is they don't come with a fan. Many people won't like this but you spend a little extra on a fluid bearing fan and you have the best air cooling money can buy as well as near silence.
